<p>A five-year-old girl died after she accidentally fell into an underground water tank in her apartment complex at Rohini area of outer Delhi, police said on Sunday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The deceased has been identified as Poorvashi, a nursery student. She lived her father Pavan Kumar and mother Bindiya in Dwarka Sector 9.<br /><br />“The incident took place at around 7 pm on Friday when Poorvashi was playing outside her ground floor house. She fell inside the underground water tank as its lid was left half-open after maintenance work,” a police official said. The incident was reported to Pavan by a security guard of the apartment complex.<br /><br /> Despite, seeing the girl fall inside the tank, no one tried to save her. She was finally taken out by Pavan after a gap of 10-15 minutes and was rushed to Saroj Hospital. <br /><br />“Poorvashi was admitted in the ICU, but passed away at around 2.30 am,” the official said, adding that her body was handed back to the family after post-mortem at Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital.<br /><br />According to B S Jaiswal, deputy commissioner of police (outer), Poorvashi’s parents have not filed any complaint, as they feel it is a case of accidental death. “If the parents do not file any complaint, we will investigate the matter under section 304-A of the Indian Penal Code (causing death by negligence),” Jaiswal added.<br /><br />The police is currently investigating the matter under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CRPC), relating to unnatural deaths.<br /><br /></p>.<div>Three-year-old dies after falling from third floor</div>.<div>A three-year-old boy died after he fell from the third floor of a building in Kalyanpuri area of east Delhi on Sunday afternoon, police said. He was playing in the balcony of his house and fell down suddenly.
