Movie Snippets: Esha Thanks all for blessings on engagement

Actress Esha Deol, who got engaged to her long-time beau Bharat Takhtani here last week, has thanked everyone for their wishes and blessings on the new phase of her life.

"Bharat and I thank u all for ur good wishes and blessings! Love you all very much! Mwah!" Esha posted on her Twitter page.

The duo exchanged rings in a private, traditional ceremony at Esha's Juhu residence Sunday. Their wedding date is yet to be decided.

'Phas Gaye Re Obama' makers begin next productionThe makers of "Phas Gaye Re Obama", Ravel Films Pvt Ltd. have gone on floors with their next production, a yet-to-be-titled movie, said to be a satirical take on life.

The movie has an ensemble cast featuring Sanjay Mishra, Vishwa Mohan Badola, Zakir Hussain, Pragati Pandey, Sitaram Panchal, Ranjan Chabbra, Disha Pandey, Paritosh Sand and Pramod Pathak.

"We believe in making entertaining family cinema and we are keeping with the tradition. Once again I have assembled a group of highly talented artistes and technicians from amongst the best in the industry. They are all charged up and shooting is 'on' at full stream," said producer Ashok Pandey.

The film is being directed by Anshul Sharma.

Don't believe in overnight superstardom: Amaan-AyaanSuccess comes slow in classical music, but sarod players Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan have no qualms about it.

When IANS asked the duo for their take on the limited scope that Bollywood offers to Indian classical music artists, Amaan said: "It does not make difference to us. There is audience for our art too and we do not believe in becoming superstar overnight as it happens in Bollywood."

So far, their only tryst with showbiz was when they had hosted musical programme "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa".

"It had happened before the whole TV industry boom happened. However, we are not closed to the idea. When we would find anything interesting, we will surely take it," said Ayaan.

The duo, sons of sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan, was in Bhopal to enthrall classical music lovers of City of Lakes on the Valentine's Day. They performed at the 30th anniversary of Bharat Bhavan, a cultural centre in Bhopal.
