Centre to strengthen HMT

The industry has been running under loss and employees have been demanding hike in their salaries.

Deshmukh was speaking to presspersons after he arrived in Bangalore on Tuesday. He said he was well aware of the state of the HMT. He would visit the industry site on Wednesday and hold meeting with authorities.

Reacting to recent developments in the BJP, Deshmukh said, “BJP at the national level is now like a school without a head master. Even in Karnataka the party is losing ground. Voters of Bangalore have taught the BJP a lesson by defeating Somanna in the by-election”.

Deshmukh in the evening held meeting with Congress leaders. Congress leaders D K Shivakumar, Ugrappa, Abdul Vahab, Narendra Kumar and others attended.
