<p>Delhi police arrested seven persons in a racket involving fake recruitment of teachers in Municipal Corporation Of Delhi (MCD) schools on contract basis, police said on Tuesday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>According to police, the teachers appointed in three primary MCD schools did not meet the eligibility and qualification requirement of the post. <br /><br />“Kanwar Singh, Deputy Director of Education, Civil Line area of north Delhi filed a complaint regarding the suspicious appointment letters of three MCD Primary School teachers on contract basis -- Sachin and Sanjeev who were posted at D Block, and Suresh posted at K block, in Jahangirpuri MCD schools. Singh claimed that the letters were forged,” said Romil Baaniya, additional Deputy Commissioner of Police.<br /><br />Based on the compliant, Sachin, Sanjeev Kumar, Suresh, were nabbed. <br /><br />Investigation led to the arrest of four more such fake teachers -- Ashok, Aftab, Sunil Kumar and Santosh teaching in various primary level MCD schools. <br /><br />“During interrogation three teachers confessed that they didn't qualify the eligibility requirement for the post. However, they were desperately looking for a job,” said Baaniya.Further Interrogation led to disclosure of names of people involved in the fake appointment of teachers racket. <br /><br />“We found out that the teachers came in contact with two Haryana residents. <br /><br />They convinced the “fake teachers” to pay money in turn to get a job of teacher on contract basis in MCD School in Delhi. The arrested persons also revealed that the key planner in this racket is Ashok, a teacher himself in an MCD school in Wazirabad,” said the official.<br /><br />Copy of letter<br />According to police, the racketeers managed to get a copy of the appointment letter format. “They then issued these letters to the interested parties. The letters contained the false and forged signature of Singh,” added the official.<br /><br />Five of the fake teachers are 12th pass, one is a graduate and another has a post graduate degree. “We are trying to find the racketeers now,” said an official. <br /><br /></p>
