Materials used for making heavy weapons recovered in Raipur

 Police today raided a transport company godown here and recovered materials used for manufacturing mortars and rocket launchers.

It is suspected that the materials, including bolts and pipes, packed in about 75 boxes, had been sent by Naxals to Chhattisgarh, Raipur SSP Deepanshu Kabra said.

The recovery was made in a joint operation by the special intelligence bureaux of Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh at the godown located in Saraswati Nagar police station area here.

Ravi Tripathi, who ran the transport company headquartered in Kolkata, is being interrogated.
