Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje has clarified that the function to felicitate former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa on March 11 was not a show of strength.
Speaking to mediapersons at the Hubli airport on Friday, she said that State BJP president K S Eshwarappa, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, and others had been invited for the event.
“The High Court order has come as a relief for Yeddyurappa, but the decision to give him a top post is left to the senior leaders in the party. They would not be pressured in this regard,” she said, adding that she had no information about the Delhi visit planned by Yeddyurappa’s supporters on March 12.
