The manager of a hotel in the town lost a leg, after his two-wheeler was hit by a private bus near Narasimhateerta, on the outskirts of the town on Saturday.
Police said that victim Paramesh, 40, was riding after filling petrol near a pump in Narasimhateerta. A private bus which came from the behind rammed the two-wheeler, severely injuring Paramesh.
He was rushed to R L Jalappa Medical College in Kolar where doctors amputated one of his legs. A case has been registered by the Mulbagal police station.
