Sugarcane growers miffed with DVS

Members of Sugarcane Growers Welfare Association staged a protest at the office of the deputy commissioner here on Saturday as the chief minister refused to receive a petition submitted by them.

Shouting slogans, the farmers said that the CM had lost interest in working for the cause of ryots. The farmers said they had even taken the permission of the city police to submit the memorandum, but the chief minister failed to respond to their needs.
