A day after the arrest of the Jammu and Kashmir resident, accused of killing 34-year-old French national in a hotel in Delhi, the police still remain clueless about the motive behind the murder.
Police found French national Lauren’s highly decomposed body from a room in a guest house at Paharganj in central Delhi on April 5.
After investigation, police arrested Manzoor Ahmed, a Jammu and Kashmir resident, from his native place and brought to Delhi. Police are trying to ascertain whether sex was the motive behind the murder. Police also believe that the woman might have died of drug overdose and Manzoor could be part of a drug racket.
“The cause of death is not yet certain as we are still waiting for the post-mortem examination report,” said a senior police officer.
The CCTV footage indicates that Lauren and Manzoor Ahmed both were present together in the guest house.
