A Delhi-based courier company has been ordered by a consumer forum to pay Rs 34,000 to a customer for not delivering a parcel.
The central district consumer disputes forum asked Blaze Flash Courier Pvt Ltd to pay up, saying the customer suffered losses as the company did not deliver the package.
“N K Jain suffered a loss of at least Rs 24,000 because the courier company did not deliver the package,” said the forum presided by B B Chaudhary.
The order came on a plea by Jain, who runs a dye and machine spare manufacturing unit in east Delhi. Jain said he had booked a consignment on March 24, 2008 to be delivered to Apar Industries Ltd, but it was not delivered.
Blaze Flash said there was nothing wrong in its delivery management system.
