De Villa serves world cuisine and caters to all age groups

Located in the heart of Delhi’s youth hub, Hauz Khas Village, is a new addition to Delhi’s culinary scene De Villa, and is owned by cricketer Ashish Nehra’s brother Bhanu. The three-floored fine dining restaurant has got something to offer to all foodies. With a separate lounge, dining and terrace area, De Villa proves to be successful when it comes to catering to all age groups. With music wafting softly from the speakers on one floor while large screens project latest cricket matches on another, the restaurant provides an ideal atmosphere to plan a get-together with friends or family.

“We get patrons from all over the world, so the idea is to serve global cuisine. We have specialties of every cuisine on our menu, so a tourist from anywhere in the world, gets something of his own preference. Steaks are our USP. We have steaks from all over the world. Some of the dishes are our creations, keeping in mind the taste of today’s food loving generation,” explains Satinder Pal Singh, the executive chef.

“What attracts people to De Villa, is that has a fine dining section for families. On the other hand, a separate lounge and open terrace is also there to cater to younger crowds,” he adds.

The cocktails and mocktails prove their worth as in-house specialties. Drinks like Citrus Fizz, Tempest and Balcony Breeze gear you for the food ride ahead. If you are a non-vegetarian then you are definitely in for a treat. With starters like Hongos Cigarro, which are actually Mushroom cigars enhanced with apricot and served with garlic aioli and Shikari Murg on the menu, one can definitely depend on starters if out with friends.

But the one dish that is really worth trying out is the Nazza. A combination of naan and pizza it originated at the restaurant itself. It has an amazingly thin crust with a fine blend of toppings. Nazzas are worth a try at De Villa.

For the main course you are provided with a lot of options like Grilled Norwegian Salmon, Barbados Grilled Prawns, Roesti Primavera and Thai curries etc. Out of which Fillet de lubina, Leek wrapped fillet of sole served with Potato Olive Cake and Beurre Blanc sauce, is the dish to look forward to.

In desserts, a wide variety of cakes and puddings are available to give your food experience a healthy final touch. Kahlua Mousse served with an exotic Kahlua sauce, is a rare thing to have in the City. It is a must try for Coffee mousse lovers.

The garnishing is impressive with a lot of detailing done on the final product. De Villa is definitely a worth a visit in Hauz Khas Village for that perfect blend of ambience along with great taste.
