Showering praises on his designer, Neil said, "He is not a designer for me. He is like an elder brother to me. I am very proud and honoured to wear his creation." Neil happy to realise grandfather Mukesh's dream.

After earning rave reviews for his last film 'New York', actor Neil Nitin Mukesh said he is happy to realise the dream of his grandfather, legendary singer Mukesh.

"I never had the opportunity to meet him. I will always have that regret. But me and my younger sister used to listen to stories about him from our grandmother.

Somewhere in his heart, he had that desire of being an actor. And I am happy that I am being able to realise his dream," Neil said.

After debuting in the 2007 film 'Johnny Gaddar', he gave a stellar performance in the Yash Chopra film 'New York' released earlier this year. He would soon be seen in 'Jail', directed Madhur Bhandarkar. Not very selective in choosing films, Neil said he tries to think from the point of view of the audience.

Today, however, he stunned a different set of audience as he walked the ramp dressed in a black sherwani designed by Narendra Kumar at the Kolkata Fashion Week-II. "My style statement is being simple, smart and yet stylish," the 27-year-old said. Showering praises on his designer, Neil said, "He is not a designer for me. He is like an elder brother to me. I am very proud and honoured to wear his creation."
