<p>Two people were killed in a jumbo attack at Maralahalli village in Tekal hobli, Malur taluk, on Thursday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The deceased are - Sumithra, 28, a resident of Maralahalli and an agricultural labour, and Narayanappa, 38, a farmer and a resident of Abbigiri Hosahalli village in Bangarpet taluk.<br /><br />When Sumithra visited the fields in the morning the jumbo suddenly attacked her. Sumithra suffered serious injuries and died on the spot. <br /><br />Narayanappa had come from Abbigiri Hosahalli, to Maralahalli to catch a glimpse of the elephant. He was also attacked by the jumbo and suffered serious injuries. He was rushed to a private hospital in Kolar, but he died in the noon, said Forest Department officials.<br /></p>
