Mass wedding, a rescue to impoverished families

Couples should share the joys and sorrows equally

To drive away such anxieties, organisations should come forward to mitigate their problems, said Valmiki Guru Peetha’s seer Rajanahalli Sri Valmiki Prasanna Swami.

He was addressing the newly wed couples at the free mass wedding organised by the Taluk Kannada Sene as part of the third anniversary of Baichapura village’s Shanaishwaraswamy in Gauribdanur taluk, on Thursday and said to create awareness among the people, one should talk about human values and how to solve the problems.
One of the way where the poor families can get married their daughters is to participate in such weddings, he said.

Peaceful life

The married life is a very sacred stage in a person’s life and one should realise how important it is. They couples should share the joys and sorrows equally and lead a peaceful life together, he said blessing the couples.

Former legislator N Jyothi Reddy said marriage is a sacred moment in a person’s life and it brings about responsibilities in its wake. Even though there will be problems, one should face it and lead a happy life, she added.

BJP leader R Ashok Kumar, State Planning Commission Member H V Shivashanker, Kannada Sene District President K P Navamohan, Taluk President N Ramakrishna, Gangadhar and other leaders spoke.

Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Hosuru Hari, R Veeranna, A Gangadarappa, H Narayanswamy, Mahaboob, A Ashwatha Reddy, Women President Renuka, Shoolapani, Prakash, K R Achchappa Reddy, Mumtaz Baig, Bank Manju, Puttarangaiah and others were present.
