Responding to a volley of questions on the issue, Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari said: “AICC media department issues messages and statements on the party’s direction.”<br /><br />The Congress, which is hoping to take the mercurial West Bengal chief minister on board for the Presidential election, issued the statement after Singh, in an interview to a TV channel on Sunday, called Mamata “immature” and “erratic.” <br /><br />However, Singh appeared undeterred and said: “Have I ever claimed that I am the official spokesperson of the party?”<br /></p>
