The 78 centres of Instituto Cervantes - Spanish cultural centres all over the world,
celebrated the Day of the Spanish language on June 23 with great fanfare.

The Delhi Centre also marked the event by showcasing the rich culture and cuisine of the European nation.

The celebrations included an exhibition of cartoons by
celebrated late Indian caricaturist Mario Miranda and Spanish cartoonist Gomez De la Serna; screening of short films by Latin American and Spanish filmmakers, workshops on Spanish language; and traditional dance and DJ sessions of Latin music.

The show-stealer, however, was the fashion show in which Spanish men and women walked the ramp in traditional costumes. Visiting expats, tourists and common Delhiites, all enjoyed the fashion show as well as the day long festival.
