Expert, MCC clarify

Following Mangalore City Corporation’s raid on Expert College Hostel, MLA Krishna Palemar visited the premises along with the Joint Commissioner and Health officials of the MCC, on Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by the Mangalore City Corporation, the hostel was found to be comparatively clean on Tuesday than the day of the raid (Monday).

When the MLA enquired about the newspaper reports on the reported dengue death case of an hostelite, the Joint Commissioner clarified that a day-scholar studying in the Expert College
died due to dengue and it has nothing to do with the hostel.

In the meanwhile, in a separate press release, Expert President Prof Narendra L Nayak said that the MCC’s report is far from truth.

“The Expert Hostel student has not died of Malaria or Dengue. The hostel has been giving priorty to cleanliness since its inception. The inmates are provided with nutritious food,” he said.
