He was speaking after inaugurating janaspandana programme in Honnenahalli on the outskirts of Kolar on Saturday. It has almost become a norm with  the officers to remain absent at the janaspandana programme. If this practice continues then there is a danger of the programme losing its importance, he  said.

He directed tahsildar S V Mangala to issue notice to those officers who refrain from janaspandana and make it mandatory for them to attend the next programme. Bhagyalakshmi bonds by the Women and Child welfare department, widow pension certificates under Sandhya Suraksha by the revenue department were distributed on the occasion.

Grama panchayat president Shivarajamma, taluk panchayat member Govindaraju, Zill panchayat member Mangalamma, BEO K S Nagaraj Gowda, CDPO Lakshmi Devamma, AEE Gangappa, Sericulture officer Rudrappa, Agriculture department assistant director Bhavyarani and others were present.

In Malur
Tahsildar G V Nagaraj presided over the janaspandana programme in Aalambadi village of Lakkur hobli of the taluk on Saturday. Chikkatirupati grama panchayat president Krishnappa inaugurated the programme. Bhagyalakshmi bonds, widow pension, monthly allowance to the physically challenged persons and other benefits were distributed to the beneficiaries in the programme.

Taluk panchayat executive officer Ramkrishnappa, AEE Gangadharaiah, Circle inspector Sampat Kumar, sub-inspector Saleem Nadaf, gram panchayat vice-president Rajamma, member Jagannath, secretary Gopal, bill collector Munegowda and other officers were present.
