Minister promises to develop Sringeri

Newly elected minister D N Jeevaraj promised to give priority to the development of Sringeri constituency. Speaking after accepting felicitation, at a programme organised by the taluk BJP unit, at Sringeri on Saturday, he said “I was born in an agriculture family.

The people of the constituency elected me to represent them in the Assembly. Now I have got an opportunity to serve the people of the state. Attending a cabinet meeting was an unforgettable moment in my life.” “I have a responsibility to address the problems faced by the arecanut growers, title deeds, lift irrigation projects. All efforts will be made to provide railway connectivity to Sringeri. I am opposed to the inclusion of Western Ghats in world heritage site lists,” he said.  “I have not asked for any particular portfolio.

I will discharge my duty honestly and efficiently in any department,” he said. State BJP working committee member Tarikere Manjunath also spoke. Sringeri Assembly constituency BJP unit President V Neelesh, Taluk Panchayat President Prema, Vice-President B B Uma and others were present. The Minister visited Udbhava Ganapathy temple at Umblebailu, Madabooru Danivana temple, Srijwalamalini Temple and offered special pooja.
