The 'Rs 100-crore club' is getting on my nerves: Rohit Shetty

After 'Golmaal 3' and 'Singham', Rohit Shetty's latest film 'Bol Bachchan' too has crossed the Rs 100-crore mark, but the director said that it has begun to get on his nerves.

"This Rs 100-crore club is getting on my nerves. When I saw the film with my team, we were sure that the kind of audience we target would like it," Rohit told PTI in an interview.

Said to be inspired by 1979 movie 'Gol Maal', 'Bol Bachchan' was reportedly made on a Rs 70-crore budget. It starred Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin Thottumkal and Prachi Desai, earning Rs 100 crore at the box office.

"Nobody can predict what kind of business any film will do. We are happy with the response the film has received." Most films made by Shetty have had sequels, but the director has not yet decided about any sequel to 'Bol Bachchan'.

"As of now, we are not planning any sequel. I won't say we won't make a sequel, but at present I am just too busy with other projects. So we are not thinking on those lines at all," Rohit said.

All his films like 'Golmaal' series, 'Singham' and 'All the Best' have done good at the box office, though these films were panned by critics. When asked how he deals with criticism, Rohit said, "Earlier, I used to get angry and get worried. But later, I decided not to be negative, since my fans have loved the films. If I try to please a small section, I might disturb my audience and end up making something that my audience may not like. The idea is to make viewers happy and I have managed to do that."

Rohit is currently gearing up to shoot 'Chennai Express', for which he has teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan. Besides this, he is planning to make 'Singham 2' with Ajay Devgn again.
