Actress Rashmi is back with a bang. Two of her movies are lined up for release this year. Duniya Rashmi, as she is popularly known, is ready to make her fans happy again with her performances.

Although an ambitious person, she is content with the handful of projects she has at the moment.

Rashmi, who received accolades for her roles in Duniya, Akka Thangi and Mandakini, has finished shooting for Murari, which has Murali as the hero. The movie is directed by H Vasu and produced by R S Gowda. About the storyline of the film, she says “It is a beautiful love story that is captured in the woods.”

She will also be seen in Ashakiranagalu, a film produced by Lakshman Nayak and directed by G V Ram Rao. She excitedly narrates her challenging role in the film. “It is a heroine-oriented film and I play the role of a teacher, who adopts orphans, educates them and brings them into the mainstream,” she says.

Apart from that, Rashmi is also pleased with her role in January 1 Bidugade. She explains, “I play a corporate girl in the film. She works in a software company and her boss falls in love with her while she is in love with another person. One day, she is found murdered and the mysteries start unfolding.”

With Mithun Tejaswi and Pooja Gandhi as her co-actors, Rashmi calls January 1 Bidugade a spectacular story filled with suspense. The movie is directed by Verma and produced by Yugandhar.

Having worked in more than 10 films with various actors and directors, she admits, “I don’t want to take up anything that comes my way. I’m very particular about the script, directors and most importantly, the roles that I’m offered.”

Rashmi confesses her passion for acting and states that she is happy with the way her career is shaping up. She adds that she plans to act in a lot of movies in the future.
About her upcoming projects, she says she was approached for two projects but adds, “I’m still listening to scripts and nothing has been finalised yet.”

The actress wishes to work with director Suri again and wants to be a part of Yograj Bhat’s movies. “I have been playing a lot of soft roles. I think I’d really like to play it tough for a change. I would love to do some fight sequences as well,” expresses Rashmi, who aspires to work with actors like Puneeth Rajkumar and Darshan.

The actor candidly admits that she is a fitness freak. “I had lost out many offers because of my weight and now I’m obsessed with my diet. People can’t recognise me these days because I have lost almost nine kgs,” she adds.
