JOIN USDefending champions India have been drawn to play Syria in the opening match of the Nehru Cup football tournament which kicks-off at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium from on August 22.
The final will be held on September 2.
Besides the hosts, Cam-eroon, Syria, Nepal and Maldives make up the five-team group.
Each team will play each other once in the league stage with the top two teams advancing to the final.
India had won the last two editions of the Nehru Cup, beating Syria in the final on both occasions.
