The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Andhra Pradesh probing the ‘cash-for-bail’ case, issued notice to legislator B Sriramulu on Friday.

Bureau’s Deputy Superintendent of Police P Raghupati Gowda and an inspector visited Sriramulu’s house at Havambhavi here around noon and served the notice.

Accordingly, the legislator has to visit the Bureau’s office in Hyderabad within three days.

However, as Sriramulu was away, the officials handed over the notice to his wife Bhagyalakshmi, sources in the police department said.

The Bureau has already arrested eight people, including legislators G Somashekara Reddy and T H Suresh Babu, in this regard.

Reddy and Babu allegedly tried to bribe judges hearing the illegal mining case to grant bail to former minister Janardhana Reddy.

The Bureau team, which arrived here on Wednesday night to collect information, continued its investigation on Friday.

The officials visited some other bank branches and collected information regarding the accounts operated by the arrested legislators and their aides.

Sources said the team had interrogated a few bodyguards who had served as gunmen to Somashekara Reddy and Suresh Babu, on Thursday night.

Two key aides of the legislators were interrogated in Hyderabad last week, they added.
