BMTF issues notice to Mayor

 The Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) has served a notice on Mayor S Venkatesh Murthy on the allegation that he obtained a government land by claiming to be a landless labourer.

According to sources in the Mayor’s office, two BMTF constables visited the Mayor’s office on Saturday to serve the notice. However, the Mayor was not available in his office  and his staff members received the notice on his behalf. Details of the notice are yet to be disclosed.

Deccan Herald had published reports on August 15 and August 16 on Mayor Murthy and his wife K Prabha getting eight acres of government land in Somanahalli village of Uttarahalli Hobli in the City by falsely claiming to be landless farm labourers.
