Advani made short work of Devendra Joshi’s challenge with a commanding 4-0 (152-51, 151-21, 157-3, 150-0) win in his semifinal encounter and Sethi ousted PSPB’s Dhruv Sitwala with an identical 4-0 (150-75, 150-2, 152-15, 150-129) win en route to his final berth on Friday.

Advani looked in fine form as the Bangalore lad notched up some of the tournament’s highest breaks. He scored a 111-break in the first frame and followed it up with a 131-break in the second. Advani’s biggest break of 153 came in the third frame and a 150 break in the fourth to seal the game.

Sethi, on the other hand, did not manage to break big but his breaks of 83, 133, 98 and 135 through the four frames were good enough to land him a chance at the crown, despite a break of 97 from Sitwala in the final frame.

Results (semifinals): Geet Sethi (Guj) bt Dhruv Sitwala (PSPB) 4-0 (150-75, 150-2, 152-15, 150-129); Pankaj Advani bt Devendra Joshi 4-0 (152-51, 151-21, 157-3, 150-0).
