Paper submission on education practices

Mentor, a print magazine by EduMedia, focused on school leadership, principals and educators, invites papers for the second ‘Mentor Conclave’ to be held between November 16 and 18, 2012 at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Mentor Conclave 2012 aims to provide a multi-national platform, where educators, practitioners and researchers from across the globe can come together and share experiences, innovations and the latest trends in education with fellow educators — with an aim to learn from each other. With 600 plus delegates expected to attend this year, its reach has touched close to 20,000 schools and institutions across India. Also gracing the occasion would be 40 speakers invited from across the globe.

Last year’s Mentor Conclave witnessed an exchange of ideas and learning on various issues and addressed concerns to improve the quality of education imparted to children.
With 380 delegates participating from across the globe, representing academia, government and industry, it also had 46 speakers from varied backgrounds. Some of the key speakers who addressed the conclave last year included Dr Saumyajit Ghosal, Dean, NID, Venguswamy Ramaswamy, Global Head – TCS, Punam Kashyap , CEO, GEMS Schools, etc.

“Mentor Conclave aims to provide a platform to empower  educators, practitioners and researchers who can collectively collaborate and come up with innovative methods, techniques, studies and researches in the field of education, thereby looking at improving the education ecosystem positively”, said Syed Sultan Ahmed, Managing Director of EduMedia.

The call for papers for this conclave is now open and will close on August 30, 2012.

Paper submission guidelines

- Prospective presenters are encouraged to submit the abstract of their manuscripts for presentation by August 30, 2012.

- The abstract must contain the title, format of presentation, type of paper, key words, a short profile of the presenter and a presentation brief not exceeding 200 words. The format of the abstract submission will be available online at www.mentormagazine.net or can be emailed on request.

- All abstracts must be emailed to [e-mail]

Shortlisted papers

- The authors of the selected abstracts will be notified via email on September 10, 2012. Upon notification, shortlisted authors must submit their full manuscript by September 30, 2012. Only PDF or Docx files will be accepted for submission. All received manuscripts will be acknowledged by an e-mail

- Manuscripts should not exceed 5,000 words and should follow the prescribed format. The format of the manuscript submission will be e-mailed to the shortlisted authors.

- Final manuscripts must be emailed to [e-mail]

- Last date of submission of Abstract: August 30, 2012
- Notification of acceptance of Abstract: September 10, 2012
- Last date of submission of full manuscript: September 30, 2012
- Intimation of acceptance of manuscripts: October 10, 2012
