<p>The students and teachers of the government higher primary school were in for a shock when the caterpillars starting dropping from the roof and were forced to continue with their classes at the playground outside since the past two days.<br /><br /></p>.<p>There are 11 classrooms in the school, out of which caterpillars were found in large numbers in nine rooms, irritating the students.<br /><br />There are around 126 students studying in the school which has first to eigth standard. The worms were also seen at the three anganwadi centres situated in the premises where there are 35 children.<br /><br />The children are suffering from itching and swelling due to caterpillars which drops when there is winds. The problem has been brought to the notice of the gram panchayat and primary health centre.<br /><br />As it is not possible to sit in the classroom for the whole day, classes are being conducted in the field outside, said SDMC president Shivakumar and teacher D L Venkatesh Prasad. All the classrooms will be sprayed with medicines, he added.</p>
