Indian in top 40 pharma professionals

Dr Surinder Singh, director-in-charge of the National Institute of Biologicals, has been featured in the list of the world’s 40 most influential people in the global pharma industry. It is third time that Dr Singh has been included in the list.

Adjudged by a panel of experts of UK-based magazine World Pharmaceutical Frontiers, the list includes Bill and Melinda Gates, US President Barack Obama, director general of World Health Organisation Dr Margaret Chan and  Bill Clinton. Singh had served as the drug controller general of India from February 2008 to November 2011. He was ranked 34 in the last year’s list and moved up by five ranks to 29 this year.
