<p>Raitha Hitarakshana Samiti president G Madegowda on Sunday asked one person from each household to be ready to go to jail for the sake of Cauvery water. However, he said a final decision on the future course of agitation will be taken after the Supreme Court’s order on Monday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>He was speaking after visiting the protesters, who were staging relay hunger strike near Visvesvaraya statue here, opposing release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. Madegowda said it was a matter of pride to go to jail fighting for the State’s water right.<br /><br />He expressed hope that the SC’s order would be in favour of Karnataka. However, Madegowda urged people to be prepared for massive agitation if the order went against it.<br />“An agitation to stop students from going to schools and colleges and government employees from working, needs to be launched to pressure the State government,” he added.<br /><br />The Bangalore-Mysore State Highway was blocked at Mandya, Srirangapatna, Gejjalagere and Maddur even on Sunday. Various organisations and many villagers through padayatra extended support to the agitation. A bus was pelted with stones at Moggarahalli in Srirangapatna taluk.</p>
