“It'll be very fantastic if we reach the final,” the Pakistan skipper said on the eve of his team’s semifinal clash against New Zealand. “We haven’t reached the final and England is the only other team not to have won this title. I will be very happy if we face England in the final.

“For me as Pakistan captain at the moment, after winning the T20 World Cup and now being in the semis here, we need two more good days. If it happens, it will be very nice for me and fantastic for Pakistan. Pakistan needs a couple of good cups because cricket is the only game that brings people together. It's a good time to give them one more gift,” added Younis, who led the team to the World T20 crown in England in June.
New Zealand approach the semis with back-to-back wins at the Wanderers. “Today, these things count for nothing,” Younis pointed out. “If we play our natural game tomorrow and stick to our plans, we will be through. There is no such thing as an edge in the semifinal or final.

“New Zealand are a very good side, especially with their fielding. Under pressure, they play like a team. Their captain is always fantastic with the ball and now he is batting well too. I think it will be a good game tomorrow.”
