Members of Kannada Kriya Samithi organised a postcard campaign opposite the Law Courts opposing the CRA’s move.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Demanding that release of water be stopped, members of the samithi wrote postcards addressed to chairman of CRA Manmohan Singh.<br /><br />Organisations including Vishnuvardhan Geleyara Balaga, Gujarat Samaja, Sahara Welfare Trust, Akhila Karnataka Sriramulu Abhimanigala Sangha and Vishwamanava Vidyarthi Vedike participated in the protests.<br /><br />Protestors under the banner of Gujarat Samaja took out a mammoth rally, urging the government to stop release of water. Members of Vishnuvardhan Geleyara Balaga staged a protest opposite Gandhi Square demanding CRA to revoke the decision. They said that decision to release 9,000 cusecs of water would leave farmers distressed.<br /><br />Pourakarmikas agitated against the CRA decision and took out a rally in prominent roads of the city beginning from Tataiah Park to the office of the deputy commissioner. <br /><br />Sahara Welfare Trust organised a bike rally from Rajeevnagar to the office of the deputy commissioner in support of the Cauvery agitation. Shouting slogans against the Tamil Nadu and Central governments, the protestors submitted a memorandum at the DC’s office.<br /><br />Vishwamanava Vidyarthi Vedike comprising hundreds of students from Maharani’s Women’s Arts, Commerce and Science College took out a huge rally in the city on Monday. <br /><br />Boycotting classes, the students shouted slogans against the Central government. They took out a rally from the college premises passing through JLB road, Ramaswamy Circle and culminating at office of deputy commissioner.<br /></p>
