Prez to visit Karnataka on Oct 11

President Pranab Mukherjee will embark on a day-long visit to Belgaum (Karnataka) on October 11.

Mukherjee will inaugurate the newly constructed Suvarna Soudha Building (new Vidhan Sabha) in Belgaum and will address a joint session of Karnataka Legislature, a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement said today.

He will also give away Jnanpith award (for literature) to Dr Chandrashekhar Kambar.

The President will also attend the Bhoomi Pujan of the Swami Vivekananda Value Education and Cultural Centre there.
