JOIN USThe High Court of Karnataka on Wednesday ordered notice to the State government and Lokayukta in connection with a petition seeking to quash proceedings against JD(S) MLC E Krishnappa, in connection with an illegal land denotification case.
Krishnappa had moved the High Court against the Lokayukta police initiating investigation against him.
The complainant, Raghu, had filed a private complaint against Krishnappa, accusing him of getting 29.3 guntas of government land in Bangalore North taluk for ‘pecuniary gain’ in 2009, when JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy was the chief minister. Following this, the Special Lokayukta Court had ordered a probe against him.
Justice Nag Mohandas, who heard the matter, ordered notice to the State government and the Lokayukta.
