State issues revised fee structure for postgraduate courses

The Karnataka government has revised the fee for ME/ M Tech, MBA and MCA courses offered in government and university colleges, Visvesvaraya Technological University and its extension centres. 

According to a press release issued by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on Thursday, the revised annual fee for a full-time MBA course in government and university colleges and VTU Regional and extension centres is Rs 24,390.

A part-time course in the same institutions will cost Rs 19,390. An MBA course in private, unaided institutions will cost Rs 54,390 as per the revised structure.

The annual fee for a full-time MCA course has been fixed at Rs 24,890 in government and university colleges and VTU regional and extension centres, while it is Rs 54,890 in private institutions. The revised fee structure also shows that ME/M Tech courses in government and university colleges will be Rs 24,390.

The annual fee will be Rs 64,390 in VTU regional and extension centres and in private institutions.

A part-time ME/M Tech course would cost Rs 19,890 in government and university colleges and Rs 44,890 in VTU regional and extension centres. The PGCET-2012 option entry process was conducted from October 5 to 9.

A mock allotment was made and candidate seat status was posted on the KEA website on October 10.

The candidates can revise, update, add or delete the entered options if they so desire till 11 am on October 12.

“Due to a change in the options by the candidates after the mock allotment, one may not get the same seat allotted in the mock allotment,” a release issued by KEA said.

The real seat allotment results will be hosted on the KEA website http://kea.kar.nic.in on October 12 at 8 pm.

Based on the options entered by the candidates, in the order of merit and as per the roster system, the seats will be allotted to them as per the seat matrix issued by the government.
