Gadhafi's son 'killed'

Last Updated 04 May 2018, 08:12 IST

Khamis Gadhafi, the youngest son of late Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi has reportedly been killed during fighting, exactly one year after his father was slain by rebels, media reports said on Sunday.

Libyan National Congress spokesman, Omar Hamdan, said the 28-year-old died ‘in battle’ but gave no further details, the Daily Mail reported.

The body of the seventh son of the late Libyan leader is said to have been found on Saturday after fierce fighting between pro-Gadhafi forces and militias allied to the Libyan government in the town of Bani Walid, the report said. However, there are conflicting accounts about whether Khamis Gadhafi was killed during conflict or fatally wounded and later died.
