Nissan Motor India to increase prices of Micra, Sunny

Last Updated 23 October 2012, 13:14 IST

Come November, the two popular models of Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd - Micra and Sunny - will turn costlier, said the company Tuesday.

In a statement here, Nissan Motor India said the company will be hiking the prices of its premium hatchback Micra and midsize Sunny sedan owing to rising input and freight costs.

While the quantum of price increase has not been announced, company officials said it is being worked out.

However, there will be no price increase on the newly-launched multi-utility vehicle Evalia.
"The prices are being revised to partially offset appreciation in input and transportation costs," Nitish Tipnis, director, sales and marketing at Hover Automotive India, was quoted as saying in the statement.
