Silk saree expo in the land of silk

Managing Director of the KSIC Baladevakrishna who spoke on the occasion said that silk saree exhibitions were being held at the district headquarters to increase its popularity. Last month a similar exhibition-cum-sale was organised at Tumkur and this time it has been organised here, he added.

Silk sarees starting from Rs 7,000 and ranging up to Rs 2,00,000 have been kept on the display, expressed Baladevakrishna who said that on exhibition will be on till October 5 from 10 am to 8 pm.

He urged the people to make use of the facility in buying quality stuff.
Baladevakrishna said that display also includes collection of both traditional and new designs like ‘Crepe de Chine’, embroidery, georgette and printed  sarees along with salwar sets, tops, tie and others. ‘Threads of Gold’, a new variety of sarees under marriage collection have also been introduced, Baladevakrishna said.

N Prabhakar, Zilla Panchayat President M Srinivasan, CEO G V Rangarao were the chief guests.
