Chitra clinches crown

Chitra Magimairaj claimed the title in the 35th edition of the Women’s billiards State-ranking championship at the Karnataka State Billiards Association hall on Thursday.

The seasoned pro, who had eased past Umadevi Nagaraj 75-44, 75-49 in her semifinal encounter, posted a fairly straightforward 75-41, 77-22, 70-75, 76-70 win over youngster Varsha Sanjeev in the final to finish on top of the standings.
