State govt, NICE to file objections

The High Court has directed the State and Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE) to file statement of objections within four weeks with regards to a contempt petition against the company, in connection with the alleged encroachment of Gottigere lake.

The Court was hearing a petition by Vijay Raghavan, a farmer from Gottigere village, who had contended that the company violated the Court’s earlier order and had encroached upon the lake.
