Rahul Gandhi is 'teddy bear': IAC

Personal attack

Personal comments were showered on Congress leaders in abundance during the rally of activist Arvind Kejriwal-led India Against Corruption (IAC) held in Union foreign minister Salman Khurshid’s Lok Sabha constituency Farrukhabad on Thursday.

The targets ranged from Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, general secretary Rahul Gandhi to senior leader’s wife Louise Khurshid.

Senior IAC member Kumar Vishwash said Rahul Gandhi was like a ‘teddy bear’. “This prince is like a teddy bear. He has food at Dalit homes and leaves in the dead of the night. But why is he not saying anything nowadays,” Vishwash said, referring apparently to the allegations of corruption against Robert Vadra.

Vishwash dubbed Louise Khurshid as his bhaujai (brother’s wife) and himself as a ‘dewar’. “We all know about what kind of relationship is there between a bhaujai and dewar. I thought that she would understand my heart’s voice but she did not,” he said.

Union minister Khurshid was likened to the demon king ‘Ravana’. “This Ravana must be consigned to the flames in the next Lok Sabha polls,” Vishwash added.

Not sparing the party chief, Kejriwal took a jibe at Sonia Gandhi for ‘rewarding a corrupt’ Farrukhabad MP Khurshid.
