Platinum jubilee of socialist movement

A programme to observe the Platinum Jubilee of socialist movement has been organised at Senate Hall in Bangalore on October 25.

G V Sundar of Institute of Socialist Studies said at a press meet here on Tuesday that senior socialist acolytes will take part in the informal meeting. Three books - “Socialist movement in Karnataka” penned by Prof Hanumantha, a collection of articles L N Gopalakrishna and another book authored by Bapu Heddura will be released on the occasion.

A film on the evolution and milestones in socialist movement,  prepared by the institute will be shown on the occasion. It has also been proposed to arrange similar shows at district and taluk centres.

Socialists Venkataswamy, M S Ranganath, Koteganahalli Ramaiah of Adima and others were present on the occasion.
