The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Thursday said the road condition below the under-construction Namma Metro corridors would be improved in three to four months.

To start with, the road stretches along the West of Chord Road (from Modi underpass to Soap Factory) and Mahakavi Kuvempu Road (from Navarang Cirlce to Malleswaram) will be taken up for repair works.

“The high power committee of the Metro project has approved the proposal of the BMRCL to improve these roads and share the cost with the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) equally,” said a senior official from the BMRCL.

The official from the Corporation said KRIDL has been assigned with the road improvement work and the agency has already mobilised machinery at the site.
“Testing of materials and shifting of barricades has also begun,” he said.
