A 45-year-old man, who was absconding after allegedly hacking his wife to death on November 21 was arrested on Thursday.
Koosegowda, son of late Ningegowda of Uttanahalli in the taluk, had married Puttathayamma (41), daughter of Mallaiah of Yandalli 21 years ago.
A habitual drinker, Koosegowda was torturing his wife to hilt, ably supported by his mother and brother.
On Wednesday, the trio allegedly hacked her to death.
SP R Dileep has congratulated the south police team for nabbing the accused swiftly, said a release.
