Former cricketer and BJP leader Navjot Sidhu’s remark that Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP) chief Keshubhai Patel was an “anti-national” has triggered a political storm.
GPP workers have filed a police complaint against Sidhu. They also raised slogans against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi at a rally in Surat and waved black flags at him.
At an election rally in Visavadar on Wednesday, Sidhu had called the former chief minister an “anti-national.” Patel hit back on Friday, claiming that he was a true “RSS man who was taught to be a nationalist.”
