The Jain University Centre for Management Studies, along with Deccan Herald and La Trobe University, Australia, has organised an international conference on “Innovative Pedagogy in Business and Management Education” at the Hotel Atria, Palace Road on October 10.
The conference will deliberate upon innovative and strategic collaboration among various universities across the globe, focussing on radical pedagogical development, linking research, training and application.

According to the organisers, educationists at all levels will experience new ways of tackling the traditional class room, radical perceptions of curriculum and learning, and a whole new set of skills in student/people-centric learning.

Core competencies will be better identified and new ones shared and learnt. The conference also aims to produce a new synergy between industry and university education.
Subjects for discussion include Innovative Pedagogies in Entrepreneurship Education, Marketing, Organisation Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Accounts, Finance, Economics, and General Management.

“This conference is a major step towards synergizing antipodal streams of thought and different paradigms in global education so as to stimulate, energise and sharpen both creative energy and thought as educators,” said R Chenraj Jain, Chancellor, Jain University.
The La Troube University, associated with the conference, has more than 26,500 students, including 4,900 international students from over 90 countries.

The varsity was ranked in Victoria’s top three universities in 2007 by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University index. The Jain University is a deemed-to-be university, and member of the Jain Group, representing a cluster of 32 educational establishments.
