Telugu actor killed in accident

Telugu actor Bharat alias Yasho Sagar, 25, was killed in an accident on the bypass road of National Highway-4 near here at around 6 am on Wednesday. The driver of the car, Vishwanath Reddy, 23, was also killed in the accident.

The accident occurred when the car hit a bridge on the left side of the road. Overspeeding by the driver is said to have caused the accident. Lokesh, 24, who was sitting in the backseat has survived the accident and has fractured his right leg. The car was completely damaged due to the impact of the accident.

The actor was on his way back to Bangalore from Mumbai, where he had been to shop for costumes, when the accident took place.

He had take a friend’s car, a Maruti Swift, as he missed the flight in which he was scheduled to travel. Lokesh is undergoing treatment at an hospital in Bangalore, after he was administered first aid at the government hospital in the town.

A native of Bangalore, his debut film ‘Ullasamga Utsahamga’ was a smashing hit and was successfully screened for 200 days. The movie was remade into Kannada as ‘Ullasa Utsaha,’ with Ganesh playing the lead role.

He had also played the lead role in ‘Ayyo Papam,’ a Malayalam remake of ‘Ullasamga Utsahamga’.

Bharat’s body was taken to Bangalore for the last rites. Sagar's father B P Somu is a big-time producer in Kannada films.
