One more Lashker-e-Toiba militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in north Kashmir’s Sopore area on Wednesday taking the toll to six.
Five LeT ultras were killed on Tuesday in a joint operation by counter-insurgency Kilo Force of Army and the Special Operations Group of police at Sadhpora, Sopore, 55 km from here.
Security forces who halted the operation at night resumed it on Wednesday morning. Reports said as the joint search party of the police and the army tried to move towards the houses in which remaining two militants were hiding, they were fired upon indiscriminately resulting in injuries to two army personnel.
