<p>The Karnataka Information Commission, which has been functioning from a rented space, will now get an office space of its own.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the new building, which will come up on a government land beside the Multi-Storey Building.<br /><br /> The Rs 17 crore project, taken up by the Public Works Department, is said to be completed in the next two years.<br /><br />The building with basement, ground floor, plus three floors, will comprise of two court halls, two commissioner’s chambers and an office space for the 100-odd employees. <br /><br />Presently three courts are functioning in the MS Building, while the remaining three have been set up at the Mythic Society.</p>
