JOIN US India’s premier squash player Saurav Ghosal will face promising Siddarth Suchde on Tuesday in the final of the Bangalore Invitational squash tournament.
Top seed Ghosal had little problems in dismantling Harinder Singh Sandhu in the semis at the Karnataka Badminton Association courts on Monday. Ghosal never faced any resistance from Sandhu apart from a token effort of challenge in the first set. Ghosal emerged a 11-8, 11-4, 11-2 winner.
However, the first semifinal saw much more close contest between Schude and Gaurav Nandrajog.
Suchde breezed through the first set 11-1, but faced some gritty fight by Sandhu in the next two sets. But Suchde bagged the second and third sets 11-6, 11-7 to enter the final.
Results (semifinals): Siddarth Suchde bt Gaurav Nandrajog 3-0 (11-1, 11-6, 11-7); Saurav Ghosal bt Harinder Sandhu 3-0 (11-8, 11-4, 11-2).
