<p>CBI officials Wednesday raided three dental colleges near here following allegations of Dental Council of India (DCI) members being bribed for permission to commence post-graduate courses, officials said.<br /><br /></p>.<p>According to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the raids were carried out simultaneously at the three colleges.<br /><br />The CBI raids follow the recent arrests of two DCI members - S. Gunaseelan and S. Murugesan - for seeking Rs.1 crore bribe from Adi Parasakthi Dental College, around 110 km from here, and accepting Rs.25 lakh as the first instalment of the bribe money to start post-graduate courses, an official said.<br /><br />On Jan 8, Murugesan was arrested, and following that Gunaseelan - the president of Tamil Nadu Dental Council and DCI member - was arrested Jan 18, an official said.<br />Following the arrests several dental colleges have come under the investigating agency's scanner.<br /><br />The Tamil Nadu government cancelled the nominations of Murugesan and Gunaseelan to the DCI.</p>
